Greetings, all.

I sure do appreciate the mods getting my account up and running. Feel free to move this if necessary and correct my misspelling of "Louisiana" in the title.

Here's a classic Louisiana recipe--not from New Orleans but authentic to the region:

Red Beans and Rice

Here's what you need:

1 pound red kidney beans
1 meaty ham bone
2 large onions, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 ribs celery, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of sugar
1 bay leaf (optional)
2 pounds spicy sausage
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
Rice

I erred. The opening song was "We Are In Love" from the album by the same name. I get those mixed up somehow. Guess I was enjoying them alongside one another at the same time. Anyway, what a way to open a show!

We had the time of our lives! The set was splendid, ranging from songs from several albums. He opened with a song from "20", threw in some from "Only You", and showcased some new ones as well. Harry was a HOOT! Who knew he was such a funny guy too. It felt like we were having a conversation between old friends, just with lifelong favorite music to accompany. Wow! Such a blessing to have had the opportunity to experience the live feel of such a great musician, and such a neat person. He allowed us to share a very heartwarming moment between him and a fan, and we all melted.

Loved the show last night in Indy!!!! You are so gracious and even more so when talking about the Super Bowl. Loved the look and reaction when Blue walked out on stage and the Colts banner dropped and confetti was flying. Glad your Saints won, though!!! Very well deserved. Always love seeing you in concert..........have been a fan for many, many years. Look forward to many more.

I don't know what folks do in Indianapolis before a show. But I'd go to a Cajun restaurant first if I was going to an HJC gig. Then I'd have the full New Awlins experience.

Regardless of where you go beforehand, you will not be disappointed when the curtain goes up at the Murat Egyptian Room, my friend.

Some folks on a car racing forum were commenting on this and a few of them made good points. First of all, he meant no disrespect. It's not like he changed the words to the national anthem to show off. Somebody else posted something to the effect of, "Next time somebody ought to say, 'Hey, Harry--take off your hat.'"

I'm not going to burn all my CD's over it.

Yep. "She" is a good CD. No doubt about that.

What are your thought on this? Do you think he should ring Oprah and try to teach her a few lessons about what offends black people or do you think the only lessons to learn here is by Harry himself?

My thoughts are that it's not unusual for non-Americans to criticize what they don't understand. I wouldn't pretend to know how the relationship between white Australians and Aboriginal people should be represented on an American TV show--or in any other venue.

G'Day, mate. There's a pretty clear reason why he did that.
