Great show in Baltimore last week. We had great seats in the Tier, right on the railing about 100 feet from the stage. Awesome. I bought e-tickets through Ticketmaster.com; they never fail for getting Harry's tickets out so I recommend them.
Harry had The Lyric Opera House for his venue. This was a good spot for the folks who came from out of town because it was right off I-695 and real handy. I suspect he may have requested The Lyric and I commend his staff for getting it lined up. I'd go back there to see him.
The set list included:
We Are in Love
You Don't Know Me
For Once in My Life
Mona Lisa
And I Love Her
Smile
Impossible
Besame Mucho
Bourbon Street Parade
A Kiss to Build a Dream On (w/ Lucien on trombone and Harry on B-flat trumpet)
On the Sunny Side of the Street
Didn't He Ramble
All The Way
Come By Me
Some encore song I didn't know
There might be one or two I forgot.
I said to the ushers on the way out, "Harry's the man...did you see the show?" They did. One said to me, "I never saw him before but now I'm going to buy his CD!" Ahh, yes...another loyal fan. And those people that work there see a lot of gigs--so that's saying something. I would have recommended "Oh My NOLA" or "Come By Me" but was pushed past by the inexorable flood of humanity leaving the hall. A missed opportunity to position classic tracks! Oh well.
We had to wait about two hours to get out of the parking garage but since I scored the "Only You" DVD/CD combo at the table with the Harry stuff, and Mrs. Busby had a laptop in the car, it was no big deal.
Overall, I give the whole deal an A++. See you next time, Harry.
